Nestled on the 21st floor of the Torch Doha is where you’ll find a haven for tea and pastry lovers, The Torch Tea Garden. With an overlooking view of Aspire Park and Doha Skyline, it is the perfect spot for your Afternoon High Tea with your friends or family.
The Torch Tea Garden Restaurant Ambience
A sense of tranquility embraced me as I entered when a soothing melody of classical music immediately greeted me. With the garden décor, good lighting along with the overlooking view of Aspire Park, the restaurant provides an inviting and sophisticated ambiance to customers.
In my own terms, the way I would describe the restaurant? Relaxing.
The High Tea Experience at The Torch Tea Garden
My friend and I decided to have afternoon tea which starts at 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm.
The Torch Tea Garden offers 2 types of afternoon experience, first is the Picnic High Tea which is price at QR 150 and the second is the Garden Afternoon Tea which is priced at QR 120.
We opted for a Picnic High Tea experience, which we thought was just a plain experience of eating picnic snacks, but we were wrong.
As we sat at our table, the setup was the same as any other table in the restaurant but after we told the server that we’d be having the “Picnic High Tea Experience” our table which was plain as we entered was immediately covered with a picnic tablecloth and other utensils and props were placed on our table was placed. Afterward, they started serving the tea and a 2 tiered wooden serving stand for the snacks. The setup was very much like that of an outdoor picnic but in a more elegant and sophisticated version.
The Food Experience at the Torch Tea Garden
The Picnic High Tea had an array of delectable treats that mirrored the artistry of a symphony which included a welcome drink, coffee or tea of your choice, and a bottle of water for the beverages. For the snacks, pastry chef’s treat and smoked salmon sandwich, brisket quesadillas, nachos, onion rings, bites canape and lemongrass chicken.

My Verdict:
1. Ambiance
8/10 – Staying true to their concept, the garden-like interior along with good lighting and the soft instrumental background music exuded a soothing and fine ambiance to the customers visiting the restaurant.
2. Service
8/10 – The staff was attentive from the moment we entered the restaurant up to the moment we left.
3. Menu variety
8/10 – As a lover of variety and a sweet tooth myself I liked the wide array of delectable treats. I like how their menu indicates if a food is vegetarian, gluten-free, or if it includes nuts or shellfish.
4. Food (subjective)
8/10 – There was up to my liking, a perfect balance of sweetness, texture and flavor.
5. Memorability
8/10 – The reason why my friend and I went there was because we wanted to eat in a place with a 360 view of the aspire. We didn’t expect the plain picnic set-up to change when we went there, so for our first-afternoon high tea experience, it’s an experience worth noting.
6. Value for money
7/10 – Our server told us that the Picnic package is good for 2 people, we paid QR 150 for the whole package so that makes it QR 75 for each person. Personally, for me and my friend, it was a fine value for our money given the ambience, view of the place, service, and menu variety. Although we thought the snacks were a lot for 2 people.
